In Strife, nothing is silent. No weapon can hurt the the Ghosts/The Entity that require the Sigil to hurt in unmodded, BFG rays put their effect visual on them, but don't damage. Weapons given via dialogue, which is most of them, give Strife weapons. Doom Medikits spawn in place of Strife ones, which drastically changes the combat balance, moreso than the weapon changes.
